The sanitation supervisor oversees all initiatives related to food safety and hygiene. Coordinates all cleaning and vermin control procedures and ensures that the facility is in compliance with all Company, local and international food sanitation standards.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:
1) Continued development of standard operating cleaning procedures for all areas of the plant
2) To ensure that Sanitation Programs and SOP’s are followed to prevent microbial, allergen and other food safety/quality and allergen contamination
3) To communicate and coordinate in liaison with managers, supervisors and laboratory personnel, sanitation issues and activities with other appropriate Departmental Head/ Supervisors.
4) Performs comprehensive evaluation of the sanitation process and practices
5) Meeting cleaning frequencies as established
6) Maintain master Sanitation schedule in an “audit ready” state and in keeping with process changes.
7) Maintain Sanitation Manual, update Sanitation SOP’S and develop new ones.
8) Trains Sanitation Team Lead and Sanitation Personnel to ensure compliance to standards.
9) Training and retraining of all new sanitation workers in proper cleaning SSOPs, chemical use and safety procedures
10) Manage usage of chemical and other sanitation supplies.
11) Continued recommendations towards improvements to the Sanitation Program, Pest Control Program and Waste Management Programs.
12) Ensure that the Plant Pest Control Program is followed.
13) Coordinate activities with the Pest Provider and Waste Disposal Company
14) Scheduling and managing sanitation workers
15) Inspect building and facilities and schedule repairs as it relates to sanitation and pest control.
