The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the management of all activities within the warehouse; always providing our customers a quality and reliable service within a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  

  • An excellent communicator with staff and key shareholders, e.g. Ministry of Health, Regional Health Authorities, to ensure services and supply reliability.

 

  • Review requisitions, picking lists and issuing/receipt documents/Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.

 

  • To Maintain an inventory accuracy of no less than 98%.

 

  • Actively Maintain & Supervise cycle counting for all inventory.

 

  • Daily Tool Box Meetings held with staff.

 

  • Orders received are dispatched within 24 hour i.e. 95% On Time In Full (OTIF).

 

  • Receipts – All inventory received are on the system within 24 hours of receipt.

 

  • First Expired First Out (FEFO) is maintained and adhere to.

 

  • Ensure all quality stored items are actively stored within the approved storage requirements.

 

  • Conduct daily/weekly/monthly physical inspections ensuring stock is stored, rotated and expired/or damaged stock is disposed effectively.

 

  • Maintain liaison with customers and other related persons for performance feedback and to communicate information concerning stock issues/receipts and establishment of quotas and issuing schedules for commonly used items and to determine optimal inventory levels for the different stock.

 

  • Budget Management control.

 

  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.

 

  • Implementing operational policies and procedures.

 

  • Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.

 

  • Ensuring the safety of staff.

 

  • Ensuring warehouse is OSHA Compliant.

 

  • Motivating and disciplining staff.

 

  • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.

 

 

  • Physically inspects warehouse to ensure all quality & safety standards are followed.

 

  • Perform any other related duties as necessary as assigned by the Head of Department.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain /Business management/ or any other related discipline.

 

  • Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management / Warehouse Management.

 

  • Computer Literate.

 

  • A minimum of three (3) years working experience with warehouse Inventory ERP computer Systems.

 

  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in a managerial position in large warehouse operations.

 

  • Any equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.

 

 

Special Skills and Knowledge:

 

 

  • 3+ years of warehouse management experience

 

  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.

 

  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.

 

  • Considerable knowledge of a wide variety and grades of pharmaceutical supplies.

 

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

            Strong people skills.

 

  • Available to work extended hours.

 

  • Proficient computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office, ERP Inventory / WMS Computer systems.

 

 

Performance Standards:

 

 

  • Standards set in relation to the Department’s business plan, strategic objectives and budgets.

 

  • NIPDEC’s policies and procedures.

 

  • Established professional standards, industry best practice and statutory requirements.

 

  • OTIF – 95%.

 

  • Inventory Accuracy – No less than 98%.

 

  • Receipts – 95% within 24hrs.

 

  • OSHA Compliant.

 

  

Salary:
  • $21,368.00 per month
