Responsible for facilitating the Logistics subfunction of the procure to pay process by maintaining accurate databases, documents, and records to support transit, delivery and receipt of incoming shipments.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for all incoming shipments including expediting, reviewing shipping documents for accuracy, and liaising with suppliers and Customs as needed to support clearance and receipt of incoming shipments.
• Responsible for maintaining internal documentation, trackers, records, databases, and providing updates to relevant end users.
• Continuously monitor global shipping trends and conditions to anticipate and avoid risks and ensure OTIF delivery.
• Maximise value for money by negotiating with shipping lines on freight costs and reducing rent and demurrage and pursuing positive outcomes on any disputes or claims that may arise.
• Minimise risk to continuity of supply by carrying out supplier evaluations and implementing corrective actions as required.
• Provide necessary documents and information to end users to ensure on-time, real-time receipt and payment of goods.
• Responsible for monitoring and requesting replenishments of ASYCUDA and Brokerage accounts.
• Responsible for managing company courier accounts and ensure accounts remain in good standing.
• Seek methods to improve efficiency throughout the logistics process.
• Ensure full compliance with all company, sector, and group policies.
• Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by your management line to ensure the effective operation of the department.

Job Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma and major if applicable; Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, CIPS Level 4
• 3-5 years in a similar position
• Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft D365 (optional)
