Job Title: Head of Business Intelligence (BI)

 

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

 

 

The Head of BI reports into the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for multiple facets of strategic development, project evaluation, reporting and oversight of the tactical/operational areas of BI and Analytics management for Consumer (pre and post-paid) and Corporate Mobile, Digicel Plus and ICT. 

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Interpret and review the financial significance of operational & commercial KPI’s.
  • Assist in the analysis and development of new pricing structures and promotions.
  • Review business case submissions and provide feedback to markets and analysis for Senior Management Team.
  • Analysis of customer base movements.
  • Produce segmented revenue & customer analysis reports.
  • Work with BI Team to develop further reports to improve understanding of customer behaviour.
  • Refine reports and ensure that they are created in a timely manner with the correct information
  • Perform trending and critical analysis to highlight issues and draw possible conclusions as to their causes.
  • Develop BI strategies and procedures to maintain ongoing data integrity. And develop dashboarding
  • Produce periodic reports as defined by SMT to include daily weekly, monthly and senior management reports.
  • Analyse reports and draw key insights that are reviewed by management weekly.
  • Researching and analysing quantitative data to support SMT
  • Work with Business Risk in alerting Revenue Assurance of possible fraud or revenue leakage.
  • Review market and competition analysis regularly.
  • Support new technology development
  • Support ICT and Corporate Mobile Analysis to grow business and analyse opportunities
  • Support Digicel Plus Analysis to grow business and analyse opportunities
  • Able to capture the value of “Big data” through data mining understanding and procedures

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

  

  • Msc in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Economics/Management and/or MBA
  • Experience with PowerBI and SQL is essential
  • Experience with Python is preferred
  • Project Management Training (PMP i.e.) is an advantage
  • 2-3 years management and supervisory experience is compulsory
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in and with the telecommunications sector is compulsory
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven planning skills, attention to detail and excellent project management skills
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
