Food and Beverage Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all Food & Beverage activities smoothly and efficiently
  • Supervise daily operations and all events/functions
  • Coordinate service between kitchen (back of house) and front-of-house staff
  • Work with the sales team to ensure events and conferences run properly
  • Review upcoming functions with the Food & Beverage Manager
  • Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed
  • Prepare daily operational and sales reports
  • Track sales, customer data, and space usage
  • Handle payments and submit reports to accounting
  • Help control costs, reduce waste, and manage inventory
  • Order supplies and ensure proper storage and handling
  • Ensure the POS system works correctly at all times
  • Balance cash at the end of each shift
  • Maintain cocktail standards and consistency
  • Implement and monitor stock control systems
  • Track staff attendance and support payroll processes
  • Support a positive, creative, and team-oriented work environment
  • Supervise, train, and guide staff performance
  • Assign duties and ensure tasks are completed properly
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards
  • Promote teamwork and monitor guest satisfaction
  • Act as a link between staff and management
  • Assist with hiring, training, and motivating employees
  • Help enforce company policies and procedures
  • Support staff onboarding and training
  • Conduct performance evaluations when required
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:
  • At least five (5) O’Level passes including Math and English Language.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management or Food and Beverage Management from an accredited institution is an asset.
  • At least five (5) years progressive experience in the hospitality industry with at least three (3) years in a in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Food Badge
  • Formal training in HACCP procedures, sanitation and hygiene
