Position Summary

Responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and retention of Assets Under Management (AUM) across all ANSA Wealth Management Limited’s (AWML) products and services. This includes mutual funds, discretionary and non-discretionary High Net Worth portfolios as well as Customized Portfolios. The incumbent will develop and retain an affluent client base and provide a superior level of service to these clients.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides superior quality service to internal and external customers by projecting and demonstrating a high level of professionalism, courtesy and initiative in accordance with established guidelines and policies.
  • Develops and executes plans to achieve customer acquisition and retention targets.
  • Offers all AWML products and services to both existing and prospective clients in keeping with AWML’s policy and procedure to achieve target growth in AUM.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients to grow new client bases.
  • Consults with clients and prospects to understand their risk tolerance, investment strategies and financial goals.
  • Works closely with clients to provide customized recommendations to help them meet their financial goals.
  • Keep clients abreast of their investment performance and facilitate semi-annual and / or annual portfolio reviews with clients.
  • Refer clients to ABL’s products and services to meet client’s needs and deepen ANSA’s overall share of wallet.
  • Conducts client education seminars.
  • Participates in market research and sales events to increase brand awareness.
  • Assists Senior Wealth Manager with defining, segmenting and targeting AWML’s market.
  • Works collaboratively with Portfolio Managers to prepare sample portfolios and other presentations as required for clients.
  • Keeps abreast with news, market trends and competitor information.
  • Evaluates the results of overall business development regularly and systematically and reports these results to Senior Wealth Manager.
  • Schedule regular client meetings, as desired by client, to conduct portfolio reviews.
  • Maintains records and documentation to be able to provide weekly, quarterly or annual reports on fund performance along with reports of activities.
  • Follow up with clients for payment of fees in a timely manner.
  • Supplies data to Senior Wealth Manager in the preparation of month end reports as required.
  • Ensure clients receive quarterly reports.
  • Ensures unit is compliant as per regulatory and statutory guidelines.
  • Understands operational, regulatory, compliance and AML risks to make day-to-day decisions.
  • Co-operates and supports the company’s HSE initiatives.
  • Adheres to employee’s duties in accordance with OSH Act.
  • Adheres to all HSE policies and procedures.
  • Performs any other related tasks/duties as required.

  • DECISION MAKING- Applies guidelines and procedures that require some interpretation in dealing with exception.

Education & Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance
  • Certified Financial Planner or Advisor certification will be an asset.

Training

  • Specialized training and experience in marketing of financial products would be an asset.
  • Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Word, Excel, Access

Experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience selling investments in the financial services environment with a proven track record for growing the customer base.
  • Intermediate knowledge of capital markets, investment products, asset allocation strategies, risk / return, yield curve and portfolio allocation.
