Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and monitoring the productivity of its staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
• Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Clerks
• Communicating with customers to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems
• Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy
• Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained
• Monitoring Warehouse Clerks to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery
• Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
• Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance
• Organizing and maintaining inventory and storage area
• Communicate job expectations and coach employees
• Determine staffing levels and assign workload
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
