A progressive company is seeking a results-oriented Warehouse Operations Manager to formulate and implement operational systems, strategies, processes and procedures that are consistent with the company’s objectives to ensure the delivery of premium service to customers.

Duties

· Implement systems, policies and procedures to improve service delivery, productivity and performance across all departments.

· Develop specific warehousing requirements based on strategic plans and customer expectations; design the appropriate warehousing solution that incorporates logistics best practices.

· Ensure compliance with personal health and safety regulations as well as warehouse operational policies and procedures.

· Ensure auditing standards are followed to maintain the integrity of the inventory as it relates to quantity and quality.

· Review productivity metrics to ensure compliance with company standards.

· Monitor individual performance and implement strategies to address areas for development and take corrective action as required.

· Conduct ongoing review of the operations and implement best practice based on industry standards

· Develop key performance indicators for quality and conduct assessments to determine their effectiveness

· Manage the communication with key stakeholders and utilize feedback to address distribution issues.

· Maintain compliance with all regulatory and operational procedures

· Ensure training needs are identified and addressed to comply with regulatory and legal requirements (OSHA, AEO, C-TPAT, HACCP)

· Prepare and submit reports to guide management decisions

· Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are prepared to guide processes within the department.

 

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and skills:

· B.Sc. in logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

· Eight (8) + years’ experience in logistics or related field.

· Strategic management and planning skills

· Superior communication skills (verbal and written)

· Critical thinking and decision making; ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and schedule

· Strong leadership/team building skills and ability to manage and influence cross functional teams

· Working knowledge of human resource management principles and procedures and economic and accounting principles and practices

· Excellent problem analysis, problem solving, delegating skills

· Good decision making, coaching and presentation skills

· Strong problem solving, creative, and interpersonal skills

· Proficiency with MS Office and Materials Management Information system.
