LOCATION

Spanish Town, Content District (Project-Based)


ROLE PURPOSE

To lead and manage the QA/QC process, Document Control, and Integrated Management System (IMS). This includes coordination with the Technical Team, Construction Team, Subcontractors, and other external parties such as laboratories, testing companies, and factories.


DIMENSIONS

  • Financial: Monitor QA/QC budget
  • Technical: Active involvement in Pre-Construction, Construction, and Hand-Over phases
  • Organisational: Interface with all departments

INTERFACES

  • Internal: Construction Manager, Technical Manager, Project Manager, QHSE Team
  • External: Subcontractors, Suppliers, IE/Client, and other stakeholders

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Core Responsibilities

  • Uphold VINCI and VCGP values.
  • Comply with IMS, HSE rules, and applicable laws/regulations.
  • Motivate and manage team performance.
  • Monitor team competency and provide training/coaching.

Quality & Design

  • Own the QA/QC process and documentation submission.
  • Implement systems and processes per contract, specifications, and VCGP standards.
  • Manage materials approval, NCRs, and handover documentation.
  • Track subcontractor/supplier quality management and records.
  • Conduct trend analysis and identify improvement areas.
  • Perform independent inspections of works, facilities, and factories.
  • Conduct site audits for compliance.
  • Coach junior staff and conduct briefings for VCGP teams and subcontractors.
  • Ensure implementation of VCGP’s productive and safe program.
  • Develop and implement an innovative document control system in agreement with all parties.
  • Review and challenge subcontractor/supplier quality processes.
  • Contribute to the Project Quality Management Plan and VINCI processes.
  • Drive proposals aligned with company guidelines and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain records of all quality and IMS documentation.
  • Report non-conformities, investigate, and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.

Productivity

  • Monitor KPI compliance and recommend system improvements.
  • Own the 3-week lookahead inspection programme.
  • Ensure coordination with all stakeholders.

Commercial / Contractual

  • Record minutes of meetings.
  • Manage testing and quality certificates.
  • Handle correspondence with subcontractors, suppliers, and the client.

PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Core Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in quality or civil engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and inquisitive.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and multinational technical standards.
  • Flexible work ethic, including availability for night shifts.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Strong team player, capable of independent work.
  • Solution-oriented approach to issues.
  • Deep understanding of handover requirements and certification.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC software.

Productivity Skills

  • Ability to review and allocate resources for a 3-week lookahead programme.
  • Contribute to weekly/monthly progress reports, including trackers and presentations.
  • Set, measure, and track KPIs for productivity.
  • Implement IMS cycle: process review, audits, surveys, management meetings.
  • Ensure legal and technical regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes in:
    • Pressure Water Pipelines
    • Earthworks (excavation and backfilling)
    • Pavement

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in English
