Trade Governance Coordinator
The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (JCC) is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join their team as Trade Governance Coordinator. This pivotal role supports the implementation of the JCC’s Anti-Illicit Trade Committee’s mandate to combat illegal trade practices that undermine legitimate businesses and national development.
Coordinate workshops, seminars, and stakeholder engagements to raise awareness of illicit trade issues.
Assist in preparing and distributing educational and advocacy materials for members and the public.
Support public education campaigns, including social media outreach and public service announcements.
Maintain detailed records of reports, complaints, and trends related to illicit trade.
Facilitate discussions between the private sector, policymakers, and enforcement agencies.
Prepare monthly reports summarizing planned activities, outcomes, and recommendations.
Build and maintain strong networks with customs, law enforcement, and private sector partners to share intelligence.
Provide administrative and logistical support for committee meetings, investigations, and outreach events.
Diploma in Business Administration, Public Policy, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative support, compliance, or stakeholder coordination.
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Basic understanding of trade, policy, or regulatory frameworks.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multi-stakeholder environment.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and will be based at the JCC’s Kingston office.
