The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (JCC) is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join their team as Trade Governance Coordinator. This pivotal role supports the implementation of the JCC’s Anti-Illicit Trade Committee’s mandate to combat illegal trade practices that undermine legitimate businesses and national development.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate workshops, seminars, and stakeholder engagements to raise awareness of illicit trade issues.

• Assist in preparing and distributing educational and advocacy materials for members and the public.

• Support public education campaigns, including social media outreach and public service announcements.

• Maintain detailed records of reports, complaints, and trends related to illicit trade.

• Facilitate discussions between the private sector, policymakers, and enforcement agencies.

• Prepare monthly reports summarizing planned activities, outcomes, and recommendations.

• Build and maintain strong networks with customs, law enforcement, and private sector partners to share intelligence.

• Provide administrative and logistical support for committee meetings, investigations, and outreach events.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma in Business Administration, Public Policy, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative support, compliance, or stakeholder coordination.

• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Basic understanding of trade, policy, or regulatory frameworks.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multi-stakeholder environment.

Reporting

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and will be based at the JCC’s Kingston office.
