Human Resource Officer/Analyst (Kingston)

A well-established publishing company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resource Officer/Analyst to support the delivery of efficient and compliant HR operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining HR systems, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and providing accurate HR analytics and reports to guide decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update core HR systems, including the HR Information System (HRIS), Biometric Time Clock, and HR Helpdesk Platform.

  • Conduct HR data audits, generate reports, and analyze trends to support strategic HR planning.

  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including scheduling interviews and facilitating orientation sessions.

  • Administer employee benefits, leave tracking, and contract management in line with company policy.

  • Support performance management, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Prepare and maintain HR documentation, records, and reports while ensuring full compliance with the Data Protection Act (2020).

  • Provide timely and professional support to employees and managers on HR-related matters.

  • Assist in preparing the annual HR budget, departmental plans, and workforce dashboards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in an HR role with exposure to HR systems and analytics.

  • Strong knowledge of Jamaican labour laws, HR policies, and best practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

  • Experience using HRIS and digital tools for data management and reporting.
