Human Resource Officer/Analyst (Kingston)
A well-established publishing company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resource Officer/Analyst to support the delivery of efficient and compliant HR operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining HR systems, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and providing accurate HR analytics and reports to guide decision-making.
Maintain and update core HR systems, including the HR Information System (HRIS), Biometric Time Clock, and HR Helpdesk Platform.
Conduct HR data audits, generate reports, and analyze trends to support strategic HR planning.
Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes, including scheduling interviews and facilitating orientation sessions.
Administer employee benefits, leave tracking, and contract management in line with company policy.
Support performance management, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives.
Prepare and maintain HR documentation, records, and reports while ensuring full compliance with the Data Protection Act (2020).
Provide timely and professional support to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
Assist in preparing the annual HR budget, departmental plans, and workforce dashboards.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
At least 3 years’ experience in an HR role with exposure to HR systems and analytics.
Strong knowledge of Jamaican labour laws, HR policies, and best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Experience using HRIS and digital tools for data management and reporting.
