Job Title: Telesales Agent

 

 

Primary objective of the job: 

 

The Telesales Agent is responsible for frontline representation of Digicel products and services primarily to the Consumer base. This includes up- selling and cross-selling to our existing base, and a generation of new business opportunities to achieve set target.

           

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to promote mobile and internet service plans
  • Clearly explain product features, pricing, and promotions to customers
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable packages or upgrades
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
  • Accurately enter customer information and sales details into the sales system
  • Handle objections and negotiate to close sales effectively
  • Follow up on leads and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies during every customer interaction
  • Provide excellent after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Participate in ongoing training and coaching sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Five (5) CXC passes inclusive of Mathematics and English
  • A minimum of one year’s relevant work experience in Call Centre
  • Experience in sales is preferred
  • Experience in and with the mobile telecommunications sector would be considered an asset
  • An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements
