Collections Associates

Blewstream is seeking Collections Associates who will be responsible for managing the collections process ensuring timely receipt of payments, maintaining accurate records, and fostering strong client relationships.

Location: 26 Bay Road, St. James, Port of Spain

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hybrid 

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Collections Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing the collections process, oustanding accounts, ensuring timely receipt of payments, maintaining accurate records, and fostering strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to navigate complex billing scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Debt Recovery: Contact customers to collect outstanding debts and negotiate payment plans
• Account Monitoring: Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate action
• Customer Communication: Communicate with customers via phone, email, or mail to resolve payment issues
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions
• Compliance: Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant laws and regulations

 Requirements:

• An associate’s degree in finance and/or accounting (bachelor’s degree or ACCA Level 1 is often preferred)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, advanced computer proficiency, and proven experience in a target-driven environment
• 2+ years’ experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related financial role
•  Highly articulate with excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in various accounting software (Ideally SAP ERP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage) is ideal
• Proficient in Excel
• Exhibits exceptional self-discipline in remote work settings, consistently achieving established targets
• Legal authorization to work in Trinidad and Tobago
• Available to work full time Monday through Friday
