The Stewarding Supervisor maintains a clean and orderly kitchen, equipment, and furnishing, as well as performing buffet set-ups and special events efficiently.
 
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Receive and hand over shifts to other supervisors on duty to ensure efficient shift changes.
  • Ensure that the briefing is given with the staff on duty before starting work for greater planning and coordination of all work and always motivate the staff.
  • Make lists of staff and take note of attendance, making sure to collect their signature.
  • Ensure the delivery of equipment and chemical material.
  • Oversee the work of the entire steward staff, enforcing the individual service standards and functions of each member.
  • Supervise the cleaning of the kitchens.
  • Control the use of detergents to avoid waste.
  • Carry out the assemblies of buffets according to the chosen themes.
  • Supervise the correct functioning of washing machines.
  • Carry out the already established deep cleaning role and coordinate with the necessary personnel.
  • Fill your log with progress of work done and reports of pending issues.
  • Make a cleaning checklist.
  • Assign team members with work areas during your shift.
  • Perform inventory chemicals and cleaning supplies.
  • Supervise the assembly of earthenware and glassware equipment for events.
  • Check the linens for events.
  • Check report logs to follow up.
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 
  • Minimum of 3 years as a food and beverage steward in hotels or in restaurants.
  • Knowledge of chemical products and cleaning, handling and care of kitchen equipment, personnel management, separation of organic and inorganic waste.
