Safety & Loss Prevention and Transportation Team Lead

Overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Safety and Loss Prevention Officers, and overseeing the maintenance of all the companies’ vehicles.

Description: 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Safety & Loss  Prevention

1. Coordinating and supervising the Safety& Loss Prevention program, schedules, and training
2. Monitoring surveillance, and security processes
3. Assist in restraining difficult and boisterous clients
4. Institute measures to prevent vandalism, thefts, or any other criminal behavior
5. Promote safety and order on the premises
6. Monitor and operate security equipment, such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems
7. Reinforce the company’s policies and standards pertinent to security
8. Respond to all emergency calls, following the established emergency protocols.
9. Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment
10. Assist with organizing emergency and safety drills
11. Check and sign off on reports and documentations made by the Safety and Loss Prevention officers
12. Monitor attendance and shift schedules for the department
13. Monitor the logbooks to ensure the Safety and Loss and Prevention officers log the information for access and exits to the property, incidents and irregularities.
14. Monitor the key logs
15. Assist with the formulating and instituting of Policies and Procedures

Transportation

1. Plan and supervise the programmes, schedule, and trainings or retraining for all drivers
2. Dispatch and coordinate company transportation/vehicles
3. Reinforce the company’s policies and standards pertinent to transportation
4. Trouble shoot mechanical problems with transportation/vehicles
5. Ensure wheelchairs, stretchers and oxygen tanks are cleaned, maintained and distributed to the correct locations
6. Practice infection control when handling medical transportations
7. Keep logs and conduct regular audits of transportation maintenance
8. Able to effect basic mechanical repairs for instance change tyres, disc pads, stretcher wheels, oil checks etc.
9. Ensure vehicles are in good working condition and service on a regular basis
10. Monitor the documents for all vehicles to ensure registration, fitness and carriage license are up-to-date and the vehicles are road-worthy

Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years experience in a Supervisiory or Team Lead capacity
2. Defensive Driving Certification
3. NCTVET Certification in Industrial Security Operations
4. NCTVET Certification in Auto Mechanics or at least 2 years on the job experience 
5. PSRA Registration
6. Certificate in Supervisory Management
7. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
8. Ability to stand for 8-12 hours
9. Ability to lift or maneuver heavy equipment
