Relationship Manager

 

Position Summary:
The Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for managing and growing a designated portfolio of individual and corporate clients across the full client lifecycle, with a strong focus on supporting Asset Management solutions. The role delivers structured, suitability-aligned investment guidance, supports portfolio construction and ongoing management of managed funds, discretionary portfolios, and pension solutions, and drives long-term client outcomes. The RM is accountable for portfolio growth, client retention, managed product utilization, documentation integrity, regulatory compliance, and client experience, while working collaboratively across internal teams to deliver holistic, multi-product and asset-managed solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the full client lifecycle, including digital onboarding, portfolio construction, periodic reviews, rebalancing, compliance refresh, referral activation, and ongoing Asset Management engagement
  • Grow and retain assigned portfolios by driving Assets Under Management (AUM), relationship depth, and managed product penetration through structured, non-transactional engagement
  • Conduct risk profiling and suitability assessments, ensuring all investment and Asset Management recommendations are fully documented and aligned with client objectives
  • Deliver portfolio-level investment guidance, performance reviews, and client education in collaboration with Asset Management teams, based on asset allocation, liquidity needs, and market conditions; escalate complex structuring as required
  • Maintain high standards of onboarding quality, CRM accuracy, and advisory documentation integrity, including KYC, AML, suitability, and beneficial ownership records
  • Monitor portfolio health, investment performance, and client risks, proactively managing issues and documenting remediation actions
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, risk, and governance standards, maintaining zero onboarding deficiencies and regulatory breaches
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Asset Management, Investment Banking, Markets & Trading, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to deliver integrated client and portfolio solutions

 

Knowledge, Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • Jamaican Securities Course Certification
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in wealth advisory, asset management support, investment services, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of Asset Management products, managed funds, discretionary portfolios, pensions, and portfolio construction principles
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, including KYC, AML, suitability, and risk governance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet tools
  • Experience using CRM systems for portfolio and client lifecycle management
  • Strong portfolio advisory and analytical decision-making capability
  • Client retention and relationship stewardship discipline
  • Data-driven, structured approach to client and portfolio management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
