Assist in managing daily security operations at Kingston Wharf, supporting supervision, scheduling, reporting, and client coordination.
The Assistant Location Manager provides critical support to the Location Manager in the coordination of all security activities at the Wharf. This includes assisting with staff supervision, scheduling, client liaison, asset oversight, reporting, and compliance. The incumbent helps ensure the effective and efficient execution of operational duties to meet client expectations, internal standards, and contractual obligations.
Support the Location Manager with daily coordination of security operations at the Wharf
Assist in supervising and motivating security officers to maintain high standards of service and professionalism
Help manage guard schedules using digital platforms such as SmartTask
Assist with monitoring staff performance, welfare, and adherence to company and client policies
Support in the preparation, review, and upkeep of post orders and ensure they are aligned with SLA requirements
Participate in site inspections, security risk assessments, and compliance audits
Assist in responding to incidents and follow up on investigations under the direction of the Location Manager
Maintain regular communication with client representatives on operational matters
Ensure timely reporting and documentation of any incidents, breaches, or operational concerns
Help track and account for all security equipment and company-issued assets
Act as a liaison between the security team and internal departments (HR, Armoury, Fleet, etc.)
Step in to lead or manage operations in the absence of the Location Manager
Diploma or Associate Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
Security Training certification is an asset
Possess a valid Open General Driver’s Licence (for over 5 years)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and report writing
Familiarity with security scheduling platforms such as SmartTask (is an asset)
3–5 years’ experience in the security industry or operational coordination, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Strong sense of accountability and discretion
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Comfortable working long hours, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Must be of good health and willing to undergo an integrity test (polygraph)
