Purchasing Agent (6-month contract) - ANSA McAL Limited

ANSA McAL Limited is looking for a suitably qualified candidate for the position of Purchasing Agent.

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the efficient procurement of goods and services, ensuring alignment with company standards for cost, quality, and delivery. This role involves developing and maintaining supplier relationships, managing procurement processes, and executing strategic negotiations to support organizational objectives.

Job Description:

• Implement and manage procurement policies and procedures to secure quality supplies and services within budget and on schedule.
• Track and analyze metrics related to quality, delivery times, and cost efficiency.
• Lead sourcing initiatives, including competitive bidding processes (RFQ, RFP, RFI, RFT).
• Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships, draft and negotiate procurement terms, and customize acquisition terms to fit organizational policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to identify procurement needs and develop pre-qualification questionnaires for complex purchases.
• Address and resolve performance issues and foster strategic partnerships to support organizational goals.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in all procurement activities by verifying details and reviewing relevant information before making decisions.

Education and Experience

• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in management, Economics, or a related field.
• Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (C.I.P.S.) Level 3 or higher will be an asset.
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
• Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software, Oracle Products, and SAP.
• A minimum of 3 years of working experience with Power BI will be an asset.
