 Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Project Management Office team in the capacity of:

  

Project Administrative Associate

  

Take responsibility for providing support to the team by focusing on payment processing and follow ups, vendor reconciliations, reporting and fostering open communication to facilitate the successful attainment of the department’s goals and objectives.

 

 Location: Kingston

  

As a Project Administrative Associate, you will:

 

  • Provide project administrative support.
  • Create and update action log and follow up with the assigned persons to ascertain the status.
  • Prepare and distribute payment update reports to ensure all stakeholders are kept abreast in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the document management system to ensure all payment related documentation inclusive of, but not limited to, contracts, invoices, business cases, addendums, purchase orders etc are current and accessible.
  • Support the Projects Accountant in the management of all aspects of project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Assist in coordinating and promoting various special projects and social events.
  • Support preparations for the onboarding of new project team members.
  • Contribute to and participate in the development and maintenance of the Group Project Management Office Department objectives.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

  

What do you need?

 

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Studies, Finance, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Attainment of ACCA Level one or Certified Accounting Technician is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year’s work experience in project management or administrative services.
  • Project management certification, training or experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of banking and financial products and business environment. 
  • Quality focused and detail oriented.
  • Results-oriented, sound time management, and organizational skills.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
