Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operation Services - Client Data Management team in the capacity of:

 

Client Relationship Officer

 

 Effectively administer all aspects of group life and health plans within the assigned portfolio to ensure that clients’ requests are dealt with promptly, efficiently and courteously.

 

Interpret the terms of the contract on behalf of the client and ensure they are adhered to; with a view to encouraging client loyalty.

 

Provide and maintain accurate and consistent standards, quality, integrity, security of clients’ data and offering excellent client relationship management.

 

Location: Kingston

  

As a Client Relationship Officer, you will:

 

  • Administer Group and Individual Health and Group Life insurance portfolios.
  • Maintain member records for the employee and their dependents to include addition and termination of new members and dependents; changes to beneficiaries and benefit allocation, names, addresses, emails, and Taxpayer Registration Numbers (TRNs); requesting and inputting Bank accounts to facilitate claims payments.
  • Develop and maintain a strong client relationship with the Plan Administrators for each scheme assigned and be responsible for all services based on the stated standards of performance.
  • Screen all new applications for completeness, requesting additional information/relevant medical evidence where necessary.
  • Ensure that all output to clients is correct and delivered within acceptable timeframes.
  • Ensure the timely processing of Plan closures for terminated Group Life and Health cases.
  • Maintain current files daily and ensure purging on a tri-annual basis.
  • Maintain on-going communication by the most expedient method, to keep clients informed and advised.
  • Process all queries, changes and reconciliations within the stated standard.
  • Prepare and distribute reconciliations of membership data.
  • Ensure all processes related to excess coverage (> NEL) are dealt with expeditiously based on established procedures.
  • Prepare monthly reports on the Client Data activities during the month, to provide information for the management of the Unit.
  • Arrange training of client administrators.
  • Perform any other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies, Business Administration or equivalent area of study from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • In pursuit of FLMI, HIAA or ACS designation.
  • At least three (3) years’ working experience in the insurance industry, preferably in the operations division of a life or health insurance company.
  • Knowledge of local Data Privacy legislation.
  • Sound knowledge of Group Life and Health Insurance policy contracts.
  • Ability to undertake research, analyse results and make decisions.
  • Excellent attitude to client service and teamwork.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • A keen eye for detail and critical administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and reports.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
