Operations Manager

Proper Coordinating and Safe execution of all cargo operations, Control of cargo operations including loading /offloading cargo from vessels and storing of material within the container yard as needed

• Supervision of Sheds/Yard, Dispatch and Dock Labour Department as well as the Cleaners  attached to the Operation;

•  Proper coordinating and safe execution of all cargo operations;

•  Investigating all reports of missing, mis-delivery and /or stolen cargo;

•  Submission of monthly reports on investigations conducted together with possible recommendations for consideration by Management;

•  Organising and managing time and adherence to Port Operations, including but not limited to undertaking roster scheduling, managing and monitoring overtime and adherence with the working time directives;

•  Control of cargo operations including loading/offloading cargo from vessels and storing of material within the container yard as needed;

•  Assist in ensuring all port operations associated equipment are maintained in accordance with company policies;

•  Supporting and auditing the delivery of toolbox meetings and other safety initiatives to ensure compliance;

•  Presides over daily operations leading to the implementation of efficiency and productivity;

•  Build up the Port Operations division by developing procedures, guidelines or manuals as required;

 i)  Assist in the identification of  appropriate training and developmental programs in the interest of qualityof service, customer satisfaction and the personal development of individuals within cargo operations;

 ii)  Support the company in developing and reaching its sustainable goals and issuing its yearlysustainabilityreport.
