Mechanical Engineer / Technician  - Contract Position

Overview

Seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Technician to support maintenance and reliability activities within a large-scale operational environment. The position requires effective utilization of resources while ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational procedures, and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Support corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities
• Develop and improve maintenance workflows and procedures
• Assist with inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Prepare maintenance documentation and job plans
• Support shutdown and maintenance planning
• Coordinate with internal teams and service providers
• Ensure compliance with safety standards

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in power plant or heavy industry, three (3) years at a supervisory level
• Experience with mechanical systems and equipment
• Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods would be an asset
