DEPARTMENT: Sales & Marketing Department | REPORTS TO: Marketing Executive |
ROLE: The Marketing Assistant will provide general administrative support to the Marketing Executive; which includes but is not limited to implementing and monitoring all marketing activities and campaigns and assessing the effectiveness of all marketing efforts by delivering reports of findings, statistics, and insights from data analysis to help improve performance where needed. |
WORK CONTEXT: Most work activity occurring indoors in a computerized environment, with some external work demands from time to time with structured work tasks. The incumbent must have a solid understanding of the marketing strategies and concepts required and implemented to achieve the department’s objectives. |
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
- Support the Marketing Executive in organizing, developing and executing various marketing projects, campaigns and promotions as needed to ensure seamless and successful execution of plans.
- Assist in preparing marketing schedules for both digital and traditional. Coordinating internally and external with outsourced suppliers
- Assist in managing all company online content on various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Website, etc.
- Assist in conducting, gathering, analyzing and reporting on market research to management so informed business decisions can be made, gain competitive advantages, stay current and relevant to consumers, develop effective marketing strategies, increase sales, identify avenues for growth etc.
- Assist in recording, analyzing and maintaining financial and non-financial marketing information such as actual vs budget spending, databases of customers, competitor analysis, marketing analytics for online platforms, to assist with current and future marketing initiatives in achieving the company’s goals and objectives.
- Provide strong client support by managing and responding to all customer inquiries and comments – disseminating and forwarding inquiries to relevant staff for follow up action and providing customers with feedback where necessary.
- Assist in managing and keeping an inventory of marketing assets and material (signage, banners, feathered flags, product brochures, stock of samples for all sales offices / branches) at all RSL Group places of business.
- Assist with any other requested duties.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES - Communication – Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Analytical – Solid understanding of data from Meta Data Suite and ability to analyze and interpret for reporting purposes.
- Writing Ability – Pays close attention to detail while having a strong grasp on grammar to write (and vet) engaging and exciting marketing and company content.
- Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing Work – Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently to meet completion deadlines within budget.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS - A Certificate or Diploma in Marketing or Business Administration
- At least 2 years of practical marketing experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge and use of Marketing Software (Mailchimp, Canva)
- Certificate in Social Media Management will be an asset
- A note-worthy combination of relevant marketing certifications and experience will be considered for the position
