
MAYBERRY INVESTMENTS LIMITED “Transforming lives positively through lasting relationships” Manager - Accounts Position Summary: Mayberry Group and Mayberry Investments Limited are seeking a highly competent and results-driven Manager – Accounts to contribute to the efficient financial management of our operations. The successful candidate will provide technical advice and support, prepare accurate financial statements and audited results, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in reducing financial risk, strengthening internal controls, and supporting prudent financial management across the Group. Key Responsibilities: 1. Preparation of Financial Statements - Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Ensure integrity of the general ledger, reconciliations, and taxation schedules, including timely statutory payments.
2. Administration of Accounting Functions - Oversee budget allocations and approve payments in line with internal standards.
- Strengthen internal controls and minimize financial risk exposure.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and financial management support across the Group.
3. Facilitation of Audit Reviews - Plan and coordinate departmental audit activities.
- Address audit queries and implement corrective and preventative actions in keeping with best practices.
4. Management of Staff - Lead recruitment, performance management, and staff development initiatives.
- Foster a skilled, high-performing team aligned with corporate objectives.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Competencies: - BSc in Accounting or Finance, ACCA Level III or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience at the management level.
- Specialized training in taxation, financial reporting, and accounting.
- Active affiliation with ACCA.
- Excellent accounting knowledge & proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & relevant accounting software.
- Above-average skills in taxation and finance.
- Working knowledge of brokerage and/or banking operations.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to formulate sound financial recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines while managing competing priorities.
- Proven leadership and team management capability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
