Maintenance Supervisor (Direct to Client)

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of machinery and facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing a technical team to perform repairs and routine maintenance, with a focus on minimizing downtime and enhancing safety and productivity.

Core Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise, delegate, and mentor a technical team. Oversee safety compliance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive working culture.
• Technical Repairs: Diagnose and assist in rectifying mechanical, electrical, and electronic breakdowns (including PLCs and servo drivers) to ensure minimal machine downtime.
• Maintenance Planning: Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) to high engineering and H&S standards.
• Systems Management: Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring all corrective actions are documented for accountability.
• Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and enforce SOPs for equipment inspection, lubrication, and calibration to maintain operational consistency.
• Project Coordination: Lead special maintenance projects and the commissioning of new machinery while coordinating with external contractors and suppliers.
• Inventory & Budgeting: Manage the maintenance stores, submit purchase requisitions, and provide monthly inventory reports in line with departmental budgets.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Minimum of three (3) CSEC passes, including Mathematics and English A.
• Technical Certification: A Degree or recognized professional certifications in electrical competencies.
• Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in the maintenance field, specifically in a supervisory or similar capacity.
• Availability: Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC diagnostics, servo drivers, and CMMS software.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, analytical troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish would be an asset
