Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all inbound logistics activities to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations and on-time customer deliveries.

Job Summary:

• The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all inbound logistics activities to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations and on-time customer deliveries. The role owns day-to-day Planning and logistics execution, exception management, system accuracy, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external service providers while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Job Description:

• Coordinate and schedule inbound deliveries of raw materials, packaging, consumables, and spares in line with production, Capex and MRP plans.
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and transport providers for inbound logistics.
• Proactively manage and resolve delivery delays, shortages, and damages to prevent production disruption.
• Maintain high data integrity in ERP systems for all logistics transactions.
• Monitor and report logistics KPIs including OTIF, transport utilization, and service performance.
• Track inbound shipments and maintenance via dashboard reporting for FCL, LCL and airfreight shipments
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports (receipts, dispatches, inventory accuracy, OTIF).
• Support landed cost data capture and logistics cost monitoring.
• Support freight cost tracking landed cost inputs and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Analyse logistics data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain Tender, licenses, Contract database
• Liaise with Production Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Finance, and Sales teams
• Identify and implement improvements to logistics processes, layouts, routes, and systems
• Support lean, cost optimization, and service improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Five CXC/GCE subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English
• Customs Clerk Grade 1 / 2
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Tools.
• At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.
