Position: Legal Secretary – Property & Estates

Salary range: TTD$6,000.00 to TTD$7,500.00

About the Role
The Company is seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized Legal Secretary to support an Attorney within the Property & Estates Department. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial assistance to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities
• Open and close files both manually and electronically
• Acknowledge receipt of instructions and initiate title searches
• Follow up with Title Clerks regarding outstanding searches
• Liaise with clients, including financial institution representatives, and manage queries and correspondence
• Schedule appointments and maintain an accurate diary for the Attorney
• Coordinate arrangements for closing transactions
• Prepare fee estimates and deposit requisitions for clients
• Maintain organized and up‑to‑date files and filing systems
• Draft and type general correspondence and legal documents, including deeds
• Photocopy and scan documents and correspondence as required
• Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls; take and relay messages on behalf of the Supervising Attorney
• Perform any other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
• Recognised secretarial certification or acceptable equivalent
• At least five (5) CXC General passes, including English Language, or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Working knowledge of deeds and conveyancing
• Strong understanding of secretarial and administrative functions, including word processing and records management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Advanced typing and note‑taking skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities
• Ability to use initiative and work independently
