Junior Facilities & Project Officer – Internship

Position Overview
This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in facilities management and project coordination within a dynamic retail environment. The Junior Facilities & Project Officer Intern will support the Facilities & Project Manager in overseeing maintenance activities, coordinating improvement projects, and ensuring that buildings, equipment, and systems operate efficiently across the company’s portfolio of facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
Assist with the coordination and monitoring of facilities improvement and capital projects
Liaise with departments and contractors to support the smooth implementation of projects
Help prepare project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion
Facilities & Maintenance Support
Support the management of planned and reactive maintenance across company facilities
Assist in monitoring service providers to ensure maintenance works are completed on time and to the required standards
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and certifications
Administrative & Technical Support
Assist in preparing technical briefs and project documentation
Support the preparation of purchase orders and verification of contractor invoices
Provide technical and administrative support related to facilities operations and building services
Compliance & Safety
Support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures
Assist with monitoring compliance with environmental, safety, and facilities management standards
Additional Duties
Provide assistance with facilities-related issues raised by internal teams
Support the Facilities team with administrative tasks and reporting as required
Perform other duties assigned by the Facilities & Project Manager
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Facilities Management, or a related field
Strong interest in facilities management, building operations, and project coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Knowledge of CAD or other technical software would be an asset
