Electrician - EV Chargers & Solar Installations

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician to join our growing team. This role focuses primarily on the installation of Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) chargers for residential and commercial customers across the island. The electrician will also assist with solar system installations when required.

The ideal candidate is technically competent, organized, and professional when working with clients. This role requires someone who can communicate effectively with customers and team members, manage schedules, and consistently deliver high-quality work on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Install Level 2 EV charging stations at residential and commercial properties.

• Perform site assessments to determine electrical capacity and installation requirements.

• Install and connect electrical wiring, breakers, conduits, panels, and related components for EV chargers.

• Assist with solar photovoltaic system installations including wiring, inverter connections, and electrical integration.

• Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, JS21 standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.

• Coordinate installation schedules with the internal team and communicate timelines with clients.

• Maintain accurate documentation of installations and job progress.

•  Troubleshoot electrical issues related to EV chargers and solar systems.

• Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers on-site.

• Meet project deadlines and maintain high workmanship standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3+ years of electrical installation experience.

• Formal electrical training or certification preferred.

•  Familiarity with JS21 electrical standards and compliance requirements.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, panels, breakers, and safety standards.

• Experience installing EV chargers or solar systems is an asset (training can be provided).

• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical documentation.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to manage schedules and meet installation deadlines.

• Minimum of 2+ years driving experience with a valid driver's license.

• Ability to travel island-wide for installations.

• Basic computer skills with google drive, email and spreadsheets 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EV charging equipment installation.

• Experience with solar PV systems.

• Electrical safety training or related certifications.
