Product Data Integrity & Support Officer – Internship

Our client is a leading retail organization operating a network of supermarkets and providing a wide range of food and household products to customers across Jamaica. The company relies heavily on accurate product and pricing data to support efficient store operations, inventory management, and e-commerce services.

Position Overview
The Product Data Integrity & Support Officer Intern will assist with maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s product database. The intern will support the Category Management team in managing product information, maintaining system data, and troubleshooting product configuration issues across multiple store locations and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining and organizing the product database to ensure accuracy and consistency of product information

• Support the creation and maintenance of product classifications, SKUs, and pricing information

• Assist with updating cost and discount changes provided by vendors and internal suppliers

• Support the configuration of new products within the ERP system according to company standards

• Assist with conducting data audits and data cleansing activities to maintain data integrity

• Support the maintenance of accurate product listings across internal systems and e-commerce platforms

• Assist in troubleshooting product configuration, pricing, and margin-related issues reported by stores

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper data management procedures are followed

• Support analysis and manipulation of data using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or other data tools

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field

• Strong interest in data management, retail systems, and database administration

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Exposure to data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Power BI would be an asset
