JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Lead role involves coordinating IT activities to support business operations and leading the IT team in system development and implementation. This position requires aligning technology with strategic business goals and overseeing IT infrastructure and applications.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish effective systems to streamline internal operations and maximize strategic outcomes.
• Ensure ICT objectives and initiatives are aligned with broader sector strategies.
• Assess current technologies and systems, integrating them with the organization’s strategic aims.
• Review and oversee all facets of information technology operations.
• Direct the implementation of new applications and upgrades to existing systems and software.
• Assess, select, and procure hardware and software solutions that align with organizational requirements.
• Review and approve proposals from vendors.
• Supervise the development and maintenance of core business applications.
• Lead and empower IT teams in supporting overall business functions.
• Define, monitor, and maintain the organization’s ICT infrastructure
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree (in a computer related program) or equivalent certification is required.
• At least 3 years’ work experience in a related field, with increasing responsibilities for management and support of information systems and information technology.
• Database administration certification (SQL Server certifications would be considered an asset)
• Working knowledge of databases and business analytics.
• Proven experience with Windows Server operating systems, Hyper-V, endpoint solutions, Wi-Fi technologies, networking, backup strategies, edge security, and cybersecurity.
• Skilled in system performance tuning, patch management, software upgrades, and system cloning.
