HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Our client, a medium-sized business operating in the retail of food and beverage, is seeking to recruit and retain a qualified individual for the position of Human Resources Manager to work in Antigua.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Human Resources Manager, will be responsible for the execution of the Company’s Human Resources functions:

 

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to perform the following:

 ¨      Manage the entire recruitment process of the Company

¨       Manage all Labour related matters, for compliance with all local Labour Laws,

¨       Managing the disciplinary process.

¨       Payroll preparation for review and payment by the Finance Department.

¨       Create employee initiatives to improve engagement and morale

¨       Drafting policies and processes for departments.

¨       Maintain complete and accurate personnel records

¨       Manage other employee benefits such as Group Health Insurance and the Thrift Fund.

¨       Managing all Administrative functions including taking minutes and investigation as needed.

¨      Facilitate submission and review of occupational injury claims and liaise with Insurance company on same.

¨      Complete budget for Human Resource with Financial information regarding training, salary assumption, Group                  Health, and other staff benefits.

¨      Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

¨      Manage, facilitate, create, and maintain all other Human Resource functions

 

 

Qualifications & Skills Required

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

 ¨     Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management as a minimum.

¨      Excellent knowledge of local labour laws

¨      Minimum of 5 years progressive work experience within the field.

¨      Ability to manage and supervise staff efficiently

¨      Proficiency in MS Office Suite and payroll software;

Candidates should also be adaptable and detail oriented, and possess strong negotiation skills. Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, time management and organizational skills are also required.

Compensation will be determined commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
