House Manager

Primary responsibility of the position holder is to maintain an environment that is structured safe, comfortable and secure for the clients.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the safety of the centre and residents at all times.
  • Communicate with CEO, Project Coordinator, counselors, and Clinical Psychologist as may be required.
  • Support clients in working toward their goals.
  • Engage and facilitate daily programmes and attend sessions with clients as scheduled.
  • Ensure that clients follow all rules at all times.
  • Assign clients to chores and monitor to ensure that they are satisfactorily completed.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure that storeroom items are properly stocked and appropriately stored and the storage areas are in accordance with Health and Safety standards.
  • Notify Project Coordinator of items needed for the centre or residents in a timely manner.
  • Maintain daily written report of resident, who are admitted, discharged / or leaves the premises.
  • Record and report all incidences in a timely manner.
  • Supply the gate security on a daily basis of the names and vehicle numbers of allpotential visitors.
  • Maintain the property at a high standard and attend to repairs promptly and inform the project coordinator or any repairs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:                                                                         

  • Completion of Secondary School Education
  • Worked with people who had prior experience with substance use disorders and mental health.
  • A working knowledge of homelessness.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be at least 5 years drug free, including alcohol and nicotine.
  • Prior managerial experience.
  • Maintain proper hygiene and etiquette at all times.
  • Effective leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in conflict management and problem solving skills.
  • Maintaining high degree of confidentiality.
