A reputable, well-established Local Food Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Manufacturing to join our Executive team. This key role involves overseeing five key operational departments, with an overarching focus on ensuring the highest levels of product quality; staff productivity; organizational efficiency and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Formulating and executing plans to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and upgrade manufacturing infrastructure.

  • Staying current with the latest developments in technology, processes, and equipment to drive company growth.

  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to foster and maintain a positive industrial relations climate.

  • Overseeing all administrative activities, including coordinating with managers, managing contracts, and ensuring adherence to cost control principles.

  • Collaborating with executive personnel on budget, strategy and policy and ensuring the company meets all legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Formulating and analyzing production costs, and identifying factors that affect objectives to find effective cost solutions.

  • Ensuring the quality of products and processes, and guaranteeing compliance with local and international food safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.

Job Specifications:

  • Education/ Qualifications: A BSc in Natural Sciences, Food Technology, or Engineering is required. Added certifications in Food Safety, Project Management and related senior management competencies, and/ or an MSc MBA would be an asset.

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in an operations-focused senior food manufacturing position is essential. We are looking for detailed knowledge and experience in management, food technology, and engineering, coupled with meeting performance deliverables and leading teams to do the same.

  • Skills: The ideal candidate will have strong managerial and multi-disciplinary leadership skills, sound judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
