HSE SUPERVISOR: The incumbent is responsible for HSE compliance to established policies, procedures and statutory requirements. Responsible for ensuring the HSE Advisors are well equipped to execute their job functions and ensuring all Risk Assessment are in place for work activities

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the HSE Advisors to ensure that all work streams are reviewed and executed
  • Supervises the allocation of HSE Advisors to ensure that Operations remain efficient
  • Tracks and trends HSSE Performance against the established targets
  • Ensures all duties, reports, drills, and inspections are executed as per the organizations' requirement
  • Ensures that all in-house training material meet STOWTT and Occupational Health and Safety Administration's (OSHA) standards at a minimum
  • Develops the HSSE training plans and Drill matrices for the organization
  • Reviews all risk assessments prepared by field personnel to ensure they meet all statutory requirements
  • Leads and/or participates in incident investigations
  • Provides guidance on the interpretation of safety material to staff
  • Ensures staff are fully trained and aware of Emergency Response in their area of work
  • Shares lessons arising from incidents to the organization
  • Leads and/or participates in all discussions relating to HSSE Performance
  • Conducts company-wide HSSE awareness training of all personnel on the importance of safe work practices and behaviors via the behavior base initiatives of START Cards, Tool Box Meetings and Job Safety Analysis ("JSAs"), Risk Assessments and ensures documentation is completed when required
  • Recommends measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials
  • Investigates health-related complaints and inspects facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations
  • Collaborates with relevant personnel to institute control or remedial measures for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions or equipment
  • Provides health and safety orientations for all visitors and new employees, and develops materials for these presentations
  • Maintains or updates emergency response plans or procedures
  • Inspects specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, or first-aid supplies
  • Collates and reviews all LOFOSC reports monthly
  • Manages the Risk Assessment approval process
  • Manages the Rig and Emergency Equipment certification tracker
  • Ensures that all Rig Visits are completed as per schedule
  • Ensures execution of the Company and Asset specific HSE Plans

 The job holder must have:

  • BSc degree in Health and Safety, NEBOSH Level 6 or equivalent qualifications in related field Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Training and/or certifications such as First Aid and CPR Certification, Emergency Response, Hazard Identification would be an asset.
  • Fit to work on land and offshore environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Familiar with governmental regulations relative to the area of responsibility..
