Our Client is seeking a qualified and experienced strategic leader for the role of Head – Finance and Administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic leadership and executive oversight of organisational financial stewardship, corporate administration, facilities and support services.
  • Ensure that the organisation operates on a financially sustainable, administratively efficient, well governed and risk-aware footing.
  • Serve as the principal financial and administrative advisor to the CEO, ensuring that corporate systems, controls, and administrative operations scale effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all financial management activities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust financial management framework to support innovation, digital delivery, and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead the development and execution of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, ensuring disciplined resource allocation.
  • Design and implement cost optimisation and value-for-money programmes without compromising service delivery or innovation capacity.
  • Provide executive oversight of Administration, Facilities Management, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental functions, to enhance productivity and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with financial, statutory, regulatory and other governance requirements.
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and statutory reports, ensuring accuracy, transparency and timeliness.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls, risk management, and assurance mechanisms across finance and administration.
  • Support the CEO and Board by fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build organisational capability by developing talent, managing performance, and implementing structured learning and succession plans.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years’ post-qualification experience in accounting, finance, and corporate management.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior leadership role, in medium to large organisation with preference for public sector accounting, finance, or governance.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • ACCA qualification (mandatory).
  • CFA designation an asset.
