Will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for coating works, geared towards the protection, and preservation of the structural, piping and process facility components. Mainly to ensure asset integrity, extend its lifespan, and maintain a safe operational environment.

 Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

 Prepare daily progress report of completed works and propose planned works ahead, as required

  • Prepare and document Handover to the oncoming shift.
  • Surface Preparation:
  1.  Abrasive blasting Using dry or wet grit.
  2.  Mechanical descaling use of hand tools such as needle guns, chipping hammer and scrapers
  3.  Use of High-Pressure washer to remove salts and contaminants.
  • Apply multi-layer coating systems to protect against the highly corrosive offshore environment
  • Methods include:
  1. Airless, plural-component, and conventional spray: For large, accessible areas.
  2. Brush and roller application: For small, complex, or hard-to-reach areas.
  • Perform internal cleaning of tanks, vessels, troughs etc.
  • Conduct minor pipe fitting activities
  • Certification and Installation and inspection of scaffolding
  • Provides rigging & banksman support to receive and backload cargo on Platform
  • Safe operations of all associated tools & equipment on job
  • Prepare list to ensure necessary materials are available upcoming planned works as necessary
  • Coordinating with Production Manager, material controllers, construction leads, and other contractors.
  • Managing workflow, and ensuring necessary materials are available for the planned work week ahead

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least three (3) CXC O' Level passes including Mathematics and English
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Minimum of two (2) years working experience with application of Industrial coatings / fabric maintenance
  • Experienced with selection & application of coatings: Polyurethane, Epoxy, Zinc-Rich Coatings
  • Has some knowledge of computer-based tools including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with others

Asset: Any relevant or equivalent combination of academic/craft certificates and/or experience

  • First Aid CPR Certification
  • Rigging & Banksman Certificate
  • Working at Heights Certification
  • TBOSIET – Offshore Sea Survival
  • Advanced or Basic Scaffolder
  • AMPP or NACE Coatings Inspector Certification Program – Related Training or short course
