Facilities Assistant

• Provides general Facilities and Maintenance support for all assigned projects
• Assists Facilities Technicians with preventative maintenance to improve day-to-day operations of the company’s assets
• Handles all internal requests assigned via the company’s CMMS
• Surveys buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations
• Supports the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• Assists with equipment failure and repairs to reduce / eliminate future downtime
• Operates and maintains mowers, sweepers, leaf blowers and other equipment used in the care of grounds and parking lots.
• Monitor compound for necessary grounds maintenance work to assure safety, resolve problems or notify others as appropriate.
• Cleans landscaped areas (inclusive of storm drains, rain gutters etc.) for the purpose of flood prevention.
• Responds to emergency situations (e.g. facility damage, leaks etc.)
• Pressure wash assigned areas (e.g. in front all entrances and exist, inclusive of external staircases, walking paths etc.)
• Performs any related duties as assigned by Management.

Skills & Knowledge:

• The ability to repair Electrical and Mechanical Equipment
• Functional knowledge of any of the following disciplines:
  • Plumbing
  • Refrigeration
  • Welding
  • Carpentry
• Installation of new and used Equipment
• The ability to multi-task and to work with minimal supervision
