Programme Overview
The Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology is a one year programme designed for graduates with no previous training in computing. Students will be equipped with the basic requirements to pursue a higher degree in computing, or to transition to an entry level position in the IT industry.
Programme Objectives
The programme aims to:
- train students so they can transition from a non-computing field to one within the computing domain.
- equip students with a good theoretical foundation in the IT domain
- enable students to acquire at least one professional certification in the IT domain.
Programme Structure
The programme will be offered in an accelerated format over academic year (3 semesters). It covers programming in at least 2 widely used languages, mathematics for IT, software engineering, networking and databases.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should possess a first degree in any discipline except computing.
