A leading financial institution in Kingston seeks an accomplished Director of Business Operations to oversee mortgage lending operations, drive strategic growth, and ensure compliance in a dynamic housing finance environment. This senior role demands expertise in construction project financing, risk analysis, and secondary mortgage markets.
Review and assess mortgage loan applications to determine viability, ensuring alignment with institutional risk policies and housing finance objectives.
Underwrite construction loan facilities, evaluating project feasibility, timelines, and financial structures to mitigate risks.
Monitor active construction projects to safeguard the institution’s interests, ensuring compliance with loan terms and progress milestones.
Lead the development of Jamaica’s secondary mortgage market, designing frameworks, instruments, and pricing models in collaboration with regulators and industry stakeholders.
Oversee the mortgage insurance portfolio, implementing risk-mitigation strategies and performance tracking systems.
Develop and implement operational policies to streamline loan administration, delinquency management, and debt recovery processes.
Analyze credit and receivables reports, initiating corrective actions for late payments or potential bad debts.
Represent the institution in high-level forums, advocating for policies that advance affordable housing and mortgage market growth.

8+ years post-qualification experience, including 5+ years in senior mortgage/loan management.
