Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operation Services - Client Data Management team in the capacity of:
Data Analyst
(Grade 3)
Provide the unit with the support necessary to facilitate improved business practices using technology.
Ensure that data quality, data integrity and standards are integrated in uploading of clients’ information into core systems.
Assist with the implementation and execution of strategies and activities to maintain high standards of service for data handling and archiving.
Produce and facilitate the production of reports that enhance the unit’s ability to provide excellent service to our clients..
Location: Kingston
As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Process all data files received from clients to ensure an error free load to main software application.
- Conduct data scrubbing, cleaning and quality checks.
- Update required fields.
- Liaise with the Benefits Team to ensure group set up in User Acceptance Testing and Production environments.
- Liaise with the respective team for the review of data and approval for load to production.
- Lead and participate in formal and informal projects/ initiatives for user testing of upgrades and modifications to assigned or new software applications to improve inefficiencies.
- Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of the data quality on the core systems to meet the required internal and external standards.
- Create procedure documentation, review and take appropriate action to update or re-write existing procedures where necessary.
- Provide technical support in the development of reports to enhance client service and assist with writing functional specifications for system modifications.
- Assist with driving innovative changes within the Unit to improve systems, processes and procedures geared toward operational efficiency.
- Fulfil reporting requirements concerning assigned duties, including progress reports on special projects and problems experienced.
- Review current business practices and procedures to ensure the most efficient solution.
- Perform any other job-related duties assigned.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Data Management from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in data management, data analytics or a related field.
- Knowledge of local Data Privacy legislation.
- Sound knowledge of office automation, IT techniques/ practices and database management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, data processing and management software, tools and/or technology systems.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and data lifecycle processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
