The Country Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, vehicle distribution planning and sales efforts of the Short-Term Leasing Operations. This role will focus on increasing market share, profit growth, SQI scores and employee development through training of our business cycle.

Essential Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of the short- term rentals division including short- term rental agreements, customer relations and administrative tasks.
• Prepare and implement fleet, marketing, employee and sales plans.
• Track, manage, audit and analyze department financial performance, department costs and expenses, profitability billing and other Location reporting.
• Develop sales and promotional strategies to maintain and increase profitability levels for branches within Trinidad and Tobago.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by promptly resolving customer complaints and addressing their needs. Customer Satisfaction must be maintained at or above the franchise supplier requirements.
• Prepare Cost Build Up (CBU) forms for new vehicle additions.
• Conduct and support with Location audits for all locations - Piarco, Morvant, San Fernando and Tobago.
• Oversee the availability and condition of vehicles in the rental fleet to maximize utilization and minimize out of service vehicle. Utilization rates must be maintained at or above the franchise supplier requirements.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and repairs, coordinating with the Service team.
• Oversee the reconciliation of damaged vehicles with the required reporting and administrative duties (insurance claims, accident reports, debt collectors report and customer claim billings).
• Oversee the cleanliness, maintenance and security of all locations in Trinidad and Tobago and the assets contained within each location including vehicles.
• Oversee, manage and coordinate all HSE requirements for Locations.
Leadership Responsibilities: 
• Plan, assign and direct work; evaluate and document performance; reward and coach employees.
• Enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure proper operational compliance and governance.
• Report on staff scheduling (absenteeism, vacation, overtime and miscellaneous leave).
• Develop staff by providing information, educational and growth opportunities, including mentoring.
• Ensure Human Resource activities are carried out in accordance with established requirements, practices and procedures.
• Prepare the Board Report and any other applicable reports, as required.
• Design and conduct Location training sessions to improve sales, retention, morale and areas of opportunity.
• Prepare Personnel Requirement forms, Interview, hire, train employees in collaboration with the Human Resource Department.
• Conduct staff meetings and toolbox discussions to discuss overall operational and safety performance.
Educational / Other Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent. A Master’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent will be an asset.
• A minimum of six (6) years’ experience in a Managerial capacity. Rental operations and fleet management will be an asset.
• Advanced sales, negotiation and relationship management and communication (oral and writing) skills.
• Customer focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Strong presentation skills in delivering presentations during sales calls and group meetings.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proven ability to analyze problems and develop and implement solutions.
• Strategic planning and organizational skills to provide for continuous improvement of services.
• Knowledge of Safety and Security guidelines, expectations and performance in the area.
• Ability to multitask and handle pressure especially during peak periods or times of high demand.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Must be able to work flexible hours in a 24-hour operation including weekends and Public Holidays.
