Sales Manager

Job Summary:

The Sales Manager will lead, coordinate, and oversee the operations of 9 sales departments within the science, clinical and medical field. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic plans, and ensuring high performance and collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, industry knowledge, and data-driven decision-making to optimize sales effectiveness and meet business targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans across all 9 departments to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads and sales teams to meet or exceed individual and collective sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Identify growth opportunities, emerging markets, and client segments within the science and medical industries.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and R&D teams to align sales strategies with new product launches and market trends.
  • Ensure consistent execution of sales processes, CRM usage, and best practices across departments.
  • Support key account management, especially for major clients in hospitals, laboratories, research institutions, or healthcare providers.
  • Evaluate departmental needs and contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and training of new sales personnel.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, ethical sales practices, and company policies.
  • Experience in driving regional and national business.
  • Ability to travel on short notice and for extended periods.

 

Qualifications/ Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Medical Technology, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • An MBA or the equivalent working experience in the related field is required.

  • Fifteen years (15) sales and marketing experience, at least five (5) of which must be in a senior or multi-departmental management role.

  • Experience with both CRM and ERM packages.

  • Proven success in leading sales teams in the science, healthcare or medical equipment sector.

  • Strong understanding of the scientific and medical market landscape, including procurement processes, regulatory compliance, and client dynamics.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills-required.
  • Strong Sales leadership, teamwork, and project management skills.
  • Must have a proven track record of having successfully managed a Sales Team of over 25 employees.

  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft suite
