A.    Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director, Corporate Services, the Corporate Services Officer will assist the Senior Corporate Services Officer with undertaking facilities management, health and safety and Corporate Services duties such as Procurement and Operations.  


B.    Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Under the direction of the Director Corporate Services assist the Senior Corporate Services officer with the undermentioned:

  • Drafts and/or provides input into proposals, terms of reference, scope of works, evaluations, recommendations and other documents related to the procurement process and operations.
  • Assists with contract management for vendors of the Commission.
  • Assist with the evaluation of quotations and proposals and make recommendations to the Director.
  • Assists with the research, analysis and preparation of guidelines, procedures, and standards.
  • Assists with the implementation and maintenance of processes and systems to ensure the smooth operation of the Corporate Services Division.
  • Assists with maintaining the Division’s Databases.
  • Assists with the preparation and analyses of statistics/trends on the operations and inventory within the Division.
  • Assists with the preparation of reports on the Commission’s operations and procurement process.
  • Participate in the implementation of the Division’s projects to support its overall strategic business objectives.
  • Assist with the implementation of the Commission’s preventative maintenance programme.
  • Assist with the implementation of facilities upgrades, remodelling, relocation and other related projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of cost estimates and scope of works for contracted services related to facilities management.
  • Assists with the research and development of presentations and training materials and undertake training as required.
  • Assists with the maintenance of the safety and health records in accordance with legal requirements and approved standards.
  • All other related duties which may be assigned.

 

C.    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Two (2) years’ experience in the field of Corporate Services, business operations, OSH, Facilities and Procurement.
  • An   Undergraduate   Degree   in   Business   Management/Business   Administration or a related field.
  • International Purchasing Professional (CIPP) certification would be an asset.
  • Any suitable combination of qualification and experience will be considered.
