Job Summary
The Commercial Pricing & Analytics Manager is responsible for developing and executing data-driven pricing strategies to optimize gross profit, drive revenue growth, and strengthen market competitiveness across all channels, including export markets.
This role provides end-to-end ownership of pricing, including price modeling, landed cost structures, and value chain profitability, ensuring accurate and consistent pricing from factory through distributor to the retail shelf.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy, Modeling & Gross Profit Management
- Develop and maintain advanced pricing models across all SKUs, markets, and channels
- Own and continuously refine gross profit models, ensuring clear visibility of margin drivers
- Design and implement pack-price architecture aligned with consumer affordability and brand positioning
- Lead structured price reviews and ensure alignment with gross profit targets and return expectations
Landed Cost Build-Up & Export Pricing
- Develop and manage detailed landed cost models for all export products
- Create standardized cost-to-serve and pricing templates by market
- Ensure export pricing delivers targeted profitability
- Identify and eliminate cost inefficiencies and margin leakage
Value Chain & Profitability Analysis
- Analyze the end-to-end value chain from manufacturing to retail
- Develop optimal margin structures across the value chain
Competitive Pricing & Market Intelligence
- Track and analyze competitor pricing across key markets and channels
- Utilize digital price capture systems to monitor in-market trends
- Develop pricing benchmarks and competitive indices
- Provide actionable recommendations to adjust pricing strategies
Revenue Growth Management (RGM)
- Drive revenue and margin optimization initiatives
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure profitable promotions and trade investments
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Deliver regular pricing and margin performance reports
- Convert complex datasets into strategic insights to support decision-making
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure pricing reflects operational realities and commercial objectives
Systems & Process Ownership
- Standardize pricing, costing, and margin frameworks across the organization
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA (Master of Business Administration) from a recognized tertiary institution (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (required)
- 5–8 years’ experience in a leadership role within FMCG, beverage, or consumer goods industries (strongly preferred)
- 5–8 years of proven experience in pricing, commercial finance, revenue growth management, or trade marketing
- Strong experience operating within Caribbean or similar distributor-led markets
- Demonstrated ability to improve gross margins in complex, multi-market and export environments
