Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operation Services- Revenue Operation & Payments team in the capacity of:

Co-op Processor
(Grade 2)

Process group (salary deduction) payments in an accurate and timely manner.

Provide support in locating and posting salary payments outside of group processing to ensure client satisfaction.

Location: Kingston

As a Co-op Processor, you will:

• Browse system records and action updates based on policy status changes, written requests and obvious discrepancies in allocations.
• Reconcile listings and cheques received from clients with previous month’s record.
• Investigate exceptions arising from the reconciliation process and take the necessary corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit journal voucher to correct any misallocation of payment via audit/processing and for policies that are coded PAP or to other Co-ops within the specified time frame.
• Update computer records with changes and pay outstanding bill.
• Clear Global 360 with the salary deduction forms, action forms and remittances.
• Ensure that any inaccuracies and discrepancies in the posting of client payments are resolved in the shortest time possible to facilitate the effective operation of the department and the achievement of the goals and objectives
• Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• A minimum of six (6) CXC general proficiency subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
• LOMA (parts 1 and 2) or other industry related designation.
• Two (2) years working experience including one (1) year in an operations division of a life insurance company.
• Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
• Sound human relations and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of insurance policies and processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
