The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction and performance of National Flour Mills Limited.
This position is offered on a three (3) year fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will drive sustainable growth, strengthen export markets, and ensure operational excellence across all business segments.
The CEO will lead the company’s continued development as a competitive regional food manufacturing enterprise while maintaining strong corporate governance, financial discipline and stakeholder confidence.

National Flour Mills Limited (NFM) is a publicly listed food manufacturing company and the leading flour milling, dry mix and animal feed producer in Trinidad and Tobago. The Company serves domestic and regional markets and is expanding its presence across Caribbean and international export markets.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The Chief Executive Officer will:
A. Strategic Leadership and Oversight
- Lead the development and execution of corporate strategy to drive sustainable growth, profitability and shareholder value
- Drive expansion of regional and international export markets
- Identify new business opportunities, product innovation and diversification within the food and feed sectors
- Spearhead the pursuit of and maintenance of internationally recognised standards and certifications
B. Operational Excellence
- Oversee the efficient operation of all business units including flour milling, dry mix production, feed milling and distribution
- Improve operational efficiency, productivity and cost performance across manufacturing and supply chain operations
- Ensure optimal use of technology, data, innovation and modern production systems
C. Financial Performance
- Deliver strong financial performance and revenue growth
- Ensure effective financial management, capital allocation and risk management
- Maintain effective relationships with shareholders, financial institutions and regulators
D. Corporate Governance and Stakeholder Relations
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to implement corporate policies and strategic priorities
- Maintain high standards of corporate governance, transparency and accountability
- Foster strong relationships with government stakeholders, regional partners, suppliers and customers
E. People and Culture
- Provide visionary leadership and inspire a high-performance culture across the organisation
- Build leadership capability, talent development and succession planning
- Promote innovation, collaboration and employee engagement
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Natural Science or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of senior executive leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing, food processing, Fast Moving Consumable Goods (FMCGs), or agro-industrial sectors
- Proven experience leading large organisations with complex operations
- Demonstrated success in export market development and regional business expansion
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chains and international trade
- Experience working with boards of directors and corporate governance frameworks
- Experience in publicly listed companies or large regional enterprises would be an asset
