Overview

The Key Account Executive will be responsible for managing and developing key strategic customer relationships while supporting revenue growth and commercial performance across multiple product portfolios.

This role focuses on coordinating account management activities, strengthening customer partnerships, and ensuring a consistent commercial approach across assigned accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the execution of account strategies and the achievement of commercial objectives.

The position requires a commercially minded professional who can manage complex customer relationships, support business growth initiatives, and contribute to the effective coordination of internal teams involved in delivering customer solutions.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Supporting the development and execution of strategic account plans
  • Contributing to revenue growth and margin performance across key accounts
  • Assisting with commercial negotiations including pricing and trade agreements
  • Supporting forecasting processes and commercial performance monitoring
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with key customer contacts
  • Coordinating internal teams to ensure effective account execution
  • Ensuring consistent and professional customer engagement

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic account plans for assigned customers while supporting business growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product portfolio presence and strengthen customer partnerships.
  • Participate in joint business planning discussions and support the development of commercial strategies for key accounts.
  • Contribute to achieving revenue, volume, and margin targets across assigned accounts.
  • Monitor trade spend and promotional performance to ensure commercial effectiveness.
  • Support pricing analysis and assist in evaluating profitability across customer accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and stakeholders.
  • Support the positioning of the organization as a trusted long-term commercial partner.
  • Assist in preparing performance reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support sales forecasting and demand planning processes to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Track key performance indicators such as sales volume, distribution growth, and margin performance.
  • Work closely with internal teams across sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and distribution to ensure effective account execution.
  • Support alignment across departments to improve commercial coordination and operational efficiency.

Experience (Essential)

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Key Account Management, Commercial Sales, or Trade Marketing
  • Proven experience managing retail or strategic customer accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to support revenue growth initiatives
  • Experience tracking account performance or managing elements of account profitability
  • Exposure to pricing discussions or commercial negotiations
  • Experience working with multiple product portfolios or brands is advantageous
  • Caribbean market exposure preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline
  • MBA or professional commercial qualification considered an asset
