The Civil Engineer is responsible for overseeing infrastructure integrity, maintenance and engineering support to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

JOB SUMMARY

The Civil Engineer is responsible for overseeing infrastructure integrity, maintenance and engineering support to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan, design and maintain structural components of the faility including foundations, drainage systems and access roads.
2. Supervise construction and repair projects within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
3. Provide engineering input on plant modifications, expansions and upgrades.  Coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate civil requirements.
4. Conduct regular inspections of civil infrastructure to ensure compliance with local regulations and ISO standards.
5. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for civil assets like concrete structures, retaining walls and  utility corridors.
6. Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs and budget estimates for civil works.
7. Provides continuous monitoring, review, troubleshooting and optimization of operational processes.
8. Ensures compliance with Asset Management Systems and Procedures.
9. Implements HSEQ standards and ensures adherence to same.
10. Undertake any other assignments required from time to time to fulfill the job purpose.
