CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the use of Information technology (IT) throughout the company. He/she devises the company’s IT strategy and ensures that all systems necessary to support its operations and objectives are in place.

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:

• Negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers for installing new technology and training employees on its use
• Approving purchases of technological equipment and software and establishes partnerships with IT providers

• Leads the development of the department’s budget and strategic plan, including corporate technology plans

• Selecting and implements suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize strategic benefits
• Designing and customizes technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
• Overseeing technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance
• Directing and organising IT-related projects

• Designing a wide area connectivity network infrastructure with an emphasis on filling remote access needs

Qualification and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Information Technology or related field required
• Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
• Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in information technology and resource management
• Three (3) years’ executive-level experience 
• Solid understanding of data analysis, controls, budgeting and business operations
